Jalapeño Honey

I recently saw some jalapeño hot honey at the store and knew I had to try making my own. I’ve made hot honey before and love the sweet and spicy combination. I think I might like this version a little bit more! The jalapeño flavor just adds a little bit extra to the honey that’s so delicious! And with just two ingredients needed to make this, it’s so easy! This honey is perfect for drizzling on pizza, fried chicken, meat and cheese. I’ll be sharing an easy appetizer you can make using this jalapeño honey soon.

Jalapeno Honey

This jalapeño honey is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy! Perfect for drizzling on pizza, fried chicken, meat and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 jalapeno pepper*, sliced

Method

  1. Stir together honey and sliced jalapeños in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Heat to a low boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and let honey cool completely.
  4. You can remove the jalapeños from the honey or leave them. (I like leaving them in to fully infuse the honey. It gives a much better flavor and a little bit more heat).
  5. Store in a lidded jar in the refrigerator.

Notes

*How much jalapeño pepper you use depends on how spicy you like it. Feel free to add more or less to your preference.
